I love Daughtry’s new song.

As a matter of fact, it was raining all weekend long, and it’s finally feeling like fall today. YAY! no more 90-degree weather. I hope.

But I was still able to get some pretty pictures.

And I have decided to take up running. Long story short, I’d been thinking about it, but what cinched it was that a certain friend of mine told me I probably couldn’t have handled this obstical course/race event he did about a week ago.

Never tell me I can’t.

Though he can’t credit himself as the reason, that will be part of the icing on this cake. haha

Did I mention that? How much I dearly love fall? Bet you never could’ve guessed in a million years.

So some calendars say that yesterday was the first day of fall, and some say that today was. So it’s sort of like there are two first days of fall instead of just one.

This, like my lemon drop slushie from sonic (tried it for the first time today… I’m sorry, dear cherry limeade, but I do believe I’ve found another to cherish) makes me immensely happy.

I think it’d make a cool tattoo someday, but I don’t know if I’d ever actually get it. I like tattoos that have some meaning behind them, and that one doesn’t really have a whole lot of meaning, it just says stuff in the reflection.

Hmm… But… that just gave me an idea for one that *does* have meaning…

I really ought to get around to making a set for my beach pictures… yet I procrastinate.

Tonight my dear friend and lovely coworker (I always think cow orker when I write that… I’ve probably said that before. Gets me every time) is getting married to another of my dear friends/ amazing coworkers. It’ll be crazy seeing her get married!! But I’m quite happy for her. She’s a lovely lady and He’s a great guy, and they’ll be happy together.

Last night I found this site… oh my goodness, epic vintageness galore! love love love it.

Seeing as I haven’t written in awhile and some of you seem to be getting a bit anxious (hehe ) I decided to write a new post.

The weeks I spent up north were lovely… I had missed hanging out with my family, so that was great to see them again. And the last four days I was at the beach, hence all the beach pictures up on my flickr photostream. Check them out!

Tomorrow I start school again. Yay! I actually am looking forward to it, I feel refreshed after my summer break and I’m ready to get back to learning. Plus, the books we have this year are all pretty good.

Tonight I went to see Shrek 4 with the Jr. Highers of my youth group. It was fun, but for the first time I did feel a little old. I kept switching into Jr. Counselor mode, like sitting with the youth leaders and chatting awhile felt odd because I kept thinking, “staff clump!! aack! interact with the kids!” But they were all very funny and adorable, so I was glad I went just to meet them and get to know them a little.

I’ve been keeping busy lately… This weekend I have a friend’s wedding to go to (Eek! My friends are getting married!!) and then right afterwards I’m going to work a retreat at camp until Sunday. So it should be fun I’m looking forward to it and the beginning of school.

yesterday I came north a little ways to stay with my Grandparents and visit my family up here for awhile. It’s lovely up here! and on the drive we passed so many beautiful little houses… this one place is stuck in my mind, it was an old meat shop made of cinderblocks, painted all white except the door, which was a vibrant blue. It reminded me of those Moroccan houses with the bright blue doors.

I’m going to have a blue door someday, even if it’s just the inside of a closet that no one can see.
