the little moments that make my world go round

peace, anyone?

Today I am flaunting my flag.

Yes, I am unashamed that I’m an american. Call me crazy, but I don’t think it’s right to suspend a kid for wearing a patriotic shirt, regardless if they were being antagonistic or not. The bottom line is, don’t suspend them for the shirt if they’re being antagonistic and racist. Suspend them for a misdemeanor or something.

I am just not getting why it’s now considered politically incorrect or “racist” to proudly wear patriotic garb or proclaim with a grin that yes, we are indeed american. Stupid, fat, lazy, rich and loving it. That’s the steriotype. That’s not arrogance, that’s gratefulness! Arrogance is when you think you’re better than another nationality.

*ahem*. I’ll get off my soapbox now.

Isn’t it lovely weather today….

Picture: I was in starbucks Monday, I love these cups. And today I was messing with Gimp and its editing amazingness. Fun stuff.

i couldn’t agree more! our country’s going to hell in a handbasket. at what point do we stand up and fight for our country? that’s the big question people are asking. i do believe it will take another revolution or civil war to reclaim our freedom, thanks to our current president. he cares not about preserving life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. his tactics are manipulation, deceit and forcing regulations on the american public. so the real question is – how far would you go to stand up for what’s right? jail? think about it. i think we all need to think about it. (if we don’t start thinking about it and being on the alert, we are heading in the same direction as the jews did in the holocaust!)

starbucks – oh, i love my starbucks. been there this week too. i only go once a month (gotta stick to my budget) – but i write starbucks into the budget so i have something to look forward to. makes it taste so much better! actually, i buy a $10 giftcard every other month which allows me 1 drink per month, period. self-control! 🙂

let’s be proud of who we are – stand up for what’s right – be heard – speak the truth – forgive and forget – be proud americans!! woot woot

  2. Agreed. Admin had better start suspending everyone else wearing another country’s image as well if that is how they want to play.
